Thank you for the kind response! I've been trying to situate a middle point between lined work and a fully rendered piece, while not letting the line art do too much of the heavy lifting with defining shapes or contrasts in values. I've been trying to go into every piece I make with a goal to learn something from it in the process, hopefully that will encourage improvement.
